one-of-a-kind jewelry

from ecuador

Our jewelry is handcrafted from the seed of the Ciclantacea plant, which grows deep in the rainforests of South America. The nuts used in each piece are sustainably collected in Ecuador by local communities, with no harm to the rainforest or its ecosystem.

For many families in the region, harvesting these nuts provides essential income. Once gathered, each nut is carefully carved, sanded, and polished to a smooth, glossy finish. The result is a natural material that resembles ivory in appearance, yet it’s completely plant-based and cruelty-free. Each nut has its own unique pattern of veins, much like a fingerprint or snowflake, ensuring no two pieces are ever alike.

This may be some of the most distinctive jewelry you’ll ever own. Our partnership with local artisans is part of The Hive’s mission to foster meaningful connections and unity across the globe—one piece at a time.

Making a difference

A portion of The Hive Fund is dedicated to supporting children in rural parts of China, where winters can be especially harsh. In some regions, temperatures drop below -10°C, and many children face the cold without adequate protection. Frostbite is common—hands and feet often go numb, crack, and bleed from exposure.

Through our donations, The Hive is working to improve their living conditions and provide the warmth, care, and resources they deserve. When you support The Hive, you’re helping us extend comfort, dignity, and hope to children who need it most.
